Add a genuine piece of early American copper coinage to your collection with this 1817 Coronet Head Large Cent – 13 Stars in Good (G) condition. Struck from copper, this historic cent dates back more than 200 years and represents the large-format cents that circulated throughout the early United States.

Designed by Robert Scot, the obverse features a left-facing portrait of Liberty wearing a coronet inscribed LIBERTY, with the date 1817 below. This example is identified as the 13 Stars variety, featuring thirteen stars surrounding Liberty to represent the original thirteen states.

The reverse displays the denomination ONE CENT surrounded by a wreath, with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA encircling the design and the fraction 1/100 below.

In Good (G) condition, this coin exhibits heavy circulation wear, with many of the finer details worn smooth. The date, Liberty's portrait, stars, reverse wreath, denomination, and other major design elements remain identifiable, giving the coin the authentic character expected from a heavily circulated early U.S. copper issue.

With its 13 Stars variety, early 1817 date, substantial copper planchet, and more than two centuries of history, this Large Cent makes an excellent addition to an early U.S. type set, Large Cent collection, or collection of historic American coinage.
