Designed by John Reich, the obverse features a left-facing portrait of Liberty wearing a cloth cap secured by a band inscribed LIBERTY, surrounded by 13 stars with the date 1825 below. The reverse displays a heraldic eagle with a shield on its chest, clutching arrows and an olive branch beneath a scroll bearing E PLURIBUS UNUM, with the denomination 50 C. below.
In Very Good (VG) condition, this coin exhibits considerable circulation wear while retaining clearly recognizable major design elements. Liberty's portrait, date, stars, reverse eagle, shield, denomination, and portions of the surrounding lettering remain visible, giving the coin the authentic character expected from a heavily circulated early U.S. silver issue.
