Designed by John Reich, the obverse features a left-facing portrait of Liberty wearing a cloth cap secured by a band inscribed LIBERTY, surrounded by 13 stars with the date 1834 below. This variety is distinguished by its Small Date style.
The reverse displays a heraldic eagle with a shield on its chest, clutching arrows and an olive branch beneath a scroll bearing E PLURIBUS UNUM. The denomination 50 C. appears below the eagle. The Small Letters designation refers to the smaller lettering used in the reverse legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
In Extremely Fine (XF) condition, this coin exhibits light circulation wear while retaining considerable original design detail.
