1835 Capped Bust Dime - AG/G

Struck from approximately 89.24% silver and 10.76% copper, this historic ten-cent piece circulated during an important period of growth and change in the early United States.
The Capped Bust Dime design originated with John Reich and was later modified by William Kneass. The obverse features a left-facing portrait of Liberty wearing a cap secured by a band inscribed LIBERTY, surrounded by 13 stars with the date 1835 below. The reverse displays a heraldic eagle with a shield on its chest, clutching arrows and an olive branch, with the denomination 10 C. beneath.
In About Good/Good (AG/G) condition, this coin shows extensive circulation wear, with many of the finer details worn smooth. The date and major portions of Liberty's portrait, reverse eagle, denomination, and surrounding design remain identifiable, giving the coin the authentic appearance of a heavily circulated early U.S. issue.
