1855-O Liberty Seated Half Dollar w/ Arrows - VF

Struck at the New Orleans Mint from 90% silver and 10% copper, this issue is part of the short-lived Arrows subtype produced from 1853–1855 to signify a reduction in the coin's silver weight.
Designed by Christian Gobrecht, the obverse features Liberty seated on a rock holding a Union shield and liberty pole, with prominent arrows flanking the date to indicate the revised weight standard. The reverse displays a heraldic eagle with a shield on its chest, clutching arrows and an olive branch, surrounded by the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and HALF DOL.
Graded Very Fine (VF), this coin exhibits moderate, even wear while retaining strong overall detail. Liberty's major design elements remain well-defined, and many details in the gown, shield, and eagle are still visible.
