Add a beautifully preserved piece of American numismatic history to your collection with this 1883 Liberty Head V Nickel, featuring the famous No Cents variety in Uncirculated (UNC) condition. Struck from 75% copper and 25% nickel, this first-year issue belongs to the Liberty Head Nickel series, produced from 1883 through 1913.

Designed by Charles E. Barber, the obverse features a left-facing portrait of Liberty wearing a coronet, surrounded by 13 stars. The reverse displays a large Roman numeral V within a decorative wreath. The original design omitted the word CENTS, leading to instances of gold-plated nickels being passed off as five-dollar gold coins. The Mint added CENTS later that year, creating two collectible varieties.

In Uncirculated (UNC) condition, this coin exhibits no circulation wear, retaining sharp design details and original mint luster, though minor contact marks or toning may be present.

Its first-year status, famous No Cents variety, and uncirculated preservation make this historic nickel an excellent addition to any Liberty Head Nickel collection or classic U.S. coin type set.
