1891 Seated Liberty Quarter - Good
Add a classic final-year issue to your collection with this 1891 Liberty Seated Quarter in Good (G) condition. Struck from 90% silver and 10% copper, the 1891 issue marks the final year of the Liberty Seated Quarter series, which began in 1838 and was replaced by the Barber Quarter in 1892.
Designed by Christian Gobrecht, the obverse features Liberty seated on a rock, holding a liberty pole topped with a cap while resting beside a Union shield inscribed LIBERTY. The reverse displays a heraldic eagle with a shield on its chest, clutching arrows and an olive branch, surrounded by the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and QUAR. DOL.
Graded Good (G), this coin exhibits heavy circulation wear while retaining an identifiable date and clearly recognizable major design elements. Much of the finer detail has worn smooth through circulation, giving the coin the authentic character expected from a 19th-century silver issue.
