Add a classic New Orleans Mint silver coin to your collection with this 1905-O Barber Half Dollar in Fine (F) condition. Struck from 90% silver and 10% copper, this substantial early 20th-century half dollar combines the popular Barber design with the added appeal of a historic Southern branch-mint issue.

Designed by Charles E. Barber, Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint, the obverse features a right-facing portrait of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap and laurel wreath, with the date 1905 below. The reverse displays a heraldic eagle with a shield on its chest, clutching arrows and an olive branch beneath the motto IN GOD WE TRUST. The “O” mintmark beneath the eagle identifies this coin as having been struck at the historic New Orleans Mint.

In Fine (F) condition, this coin exhibits moderate circulation wear while retaining clearly recognizable design elements. Liberty's portrait, portions of the headband and wreath, date, reverse eagle, denomination, mintmark, and surrounding lettering remain well defined for the grade.

With its New Orleans Mint origin, 90% silver composition, and classic Barber design, the 1905-O Barber Half Dollar makes an excellent addition to a Barber date-and-mint collection, U.S. type set, or collection of historic American silver coinage.
