Add a classic 90% silver Mercury Dime to your collection with this 1936 Mercury Dime in Extremely Fine (XF) condition. Officially known as the Winged Liberty Head Dime, this popular ten-cent piece was struck from 90% silver and 10% copper and remains one of the most recognizable designs in American coinage.

Designed by Adolph A. Weinman, the obverse features Liberty wearing a winged cap, symbolizing freedom of thought. Its resemblance to the Roman god Mercury inspired the familiar “Mercury Dime” nickname. The reverse features a fasces, representing strength through unity, alongside an olive branch symbolizing peace.

In Extremely Fine (XF) condition, this coin exhibits light circulation wear while retaining strong overall design definition. Liberty's portrait, winged cap, date, reverse fasces, olive branch, lettering, and other major design elements remain sharply recognizable, giving the coin excellent eye appeal for a circulated example.

With its 90% silver composition, iconic Weinman design, and strong XF detail, the 1936 Mercury Dime makes an excellent addition to a Mercury Dime set, U.S. type collection, or collection of classic American silver coinage.
