1858 Flying Eagle Cent (XF)
The 1858 Flying Eagle Cent (XF) features a bold eagle in flight on the obverse and a classic wreath design on the reverse, struck in copper-nickel alloy. In Extremely Fine (XF) condition, it retains strong detail in the feathers and wreath, with light wear on the high points. This one-year type (along with 1857) is prized by collectors for its historical significance as the U.S. Mint’s first small cent.
